Continuing to practice what I learned from Dina Wakley. When I took her online class she mentioned an artist by the name of Tina Berning and a book she did titled “100 women on Cheap Paper”. after looking Tina Up I was inspired me to look for something unusual to draw on. I found these old Scan Tron ballot sheets in my office that were used a couple of years ago and decided to do a series of faces on them. I always had test anxiety when we had to take test in school so some of them will reflect that. I drew about 25 faces in one evening and I am now in the process of going back and collaging them in a book. I continue to use Dina Wakley’s paint and even one of her masks in this collage. I also used a Tim Holtz stamp for the phrase that is at the bottom. Hope you enjoy.
Another Card I made this week for my wife using stamps from Dina Wakley. I think she looks very presidential.
I have been practicing my drawing skills. I have been focusing on faces of both women and men.
This is one of my favorite pictures so far. I know it isn’t perfect. Her eyes are not symmetrical nor are they the same size but there is something I find intriguing about this picture.
According to Marion Roach “All the action adventure girls have red hair,” he said. “Whenever it is an independent girl, not a sidekick person, when she has her own mind or does as good as the guys, she has red hair.”
Maybe that is why I like the picture so much. Lets hear it for the Red Heads!
